Dr. Carrie Dempsey-Freimuth - BCBA-D
She Received her Ph.D. in the Experimental Analysis of Behavior from the University of Florida in Gainesville, FL in 2007. She was certified as a BCBA-D in 2005, and has served a prominent role in several major clinical-research programs, including The Florida Center on Self-Injury (National Institute of Mental Health Grant, 2002-2007), the Alachua County ARC Prader-Willi Syndrome Program (2004-2007), and the University of Florida Autism Program (Shands Hospital Division of Child & Adolescent Psychiatry Grant, 2002-2006). Dr. Carrie Dempsey-Freimuth served as a tenure-track faculty member in the Department of Psychology & Child Development at the California State University, Stanislaus, in Turlock, CA from 2007-2014, where she established a master’s-level training clinic in severe behavior disorders. Dr. Carrie Dempsey-Freimuth has consulted in a multitude of settings and populations, ranging from sheltered workshops to intensive residential care facilities. She has published a number of peer-reviewed journal articles in the Journal of Applied Behavior Analysis, and has assisted with the translation of a behavioral glossary of terms to aid the development of Spain’s behavior-analyst certification process.
Dr. Marc Weeden - BCBA-D
Marc earned his Ph.D. in Psychology from Western Michigan University M.S. in Behavior Analysis from Florida Institute of Technology. In addition, he was a postdoc at Juniper Gardens Children’s Project at the University of Kansas. He has taught graduate and undergraduate level courses in Behavior Analysis and has conducted both basic and applied research. He has extensive experience providing behavior analysis services to individuals with a variety of developmental disabilities in home, clinic, and school settings. Marc’s main areas of interest are teaching functional communication skills to individuals with autism, behavioral pharmacology, and staff training/management. He is currently Vice President of Operations with Full Spectrum Behavior Analysis. From 2011-2016, he served on the editorial review board of Education and Treatment of Children, a peer-reviewed journal dedicated to publishing high-quality research concerning the development of services for children and youth. He served on the CalABA Board of Directors as the Northern California Liaison, has published a number of articles in peer-reviewed journals, co-authored a textbook chapter, and presented at state and national conferences.
Dr. Terry Blackmon (Hancock) - BCBA-D
She received her Ph.D. in Special Education with an emphasis in Early Childhood Special Education from Vanderbilt University in Nashville, TN. During her 20 years as research faculty at Vanderbilt University, she was the investigator for a number of federally funded grants including awards from National Institute of Health (NIH), Institute of Education Services (IES) and Administration on Children, Youth and Families (ACYF). Much of her research investigated the effects of a naturalistic language intervention, Enhanced Milieu Teaching (EMT) when implemented by parents, teachers, therapists and siblings on the language and communication skills of preschool children, especially those children with significant language issues like children who have been diagnosed with autism. She is the co-developer of EMT. While at Vanderbilt, she was also a member of a national research consortium investigating the connection between language and behavior in preschool children and Vice Chair of Vanderbilt University’s Institutional Review Board. After she left Vanderbilt, she was the Director of Behavioral Services at Brenham State Supported Living Center, a residential treatment center for individuals with significant behavioral and developmental issues. Before joining the team at FSBA, she was a professor of Clinical Practice in Special Education with an emphasis in Autism and Behavior at Texas State University in San Marcos, TX. She was also the Research Director for the Clinic for Autism Research, Evaluation and Support (CARES) at Texas State University. She has presented her research at conferences, published in numerous peer-reviewed journals and co-authored a book in 2016 titled: Early Intervention for Young Children with Autism Spectrum Disorder. She is currently a Regional Director for FSBA.
Dr. Sarah Dillon - BCBA-D
she earned her Ph.D. in Special Education from University of Virginia’s Curry School of Education. While enrolled in the doctoral program, Sarah earned a graduate certificate in behavior analysis and worked extensively with children with autism and behavioral challenges within the home, school and clinic setting. Sarah has experience teaching graduate level courses in behavior and classroom management, and has conducted multiple behavior analytic studies. Her research interests include self-regulatory interventions for individuals with behavioral disabilities, and function-based interventions for severe and aberrant behavior. After completing her Ph.D., Sarah accepted a position as the behavior specialist and director of special education for a school district in Virginia, where she designed Tiered instruction and support for students with behavior concerns, and conducted routine teacher trainings and coaching on implementing classroom management strategies. Sarah is currently serving as a clinical director for Full Spectrum Behavior Analysis and strives to assist fellow clinicians in implementing evidence-based practices. She has published multiple articles in peer-reviewed journals, is a co-author for a textbook on special education, and has presented at several national conferences. Sarah continues add to the literature on interventions for children with special needs, and is an active member for multiple organizations including the Association for Behavior Analysis, Association for Positive Behavior Support and Council for Exceptional Children.
Dr. Philip Erb - BCBA-D
Philip earned his Ph.D. in Behavior Analysis from the University of Florida, and his M.A. in Psychological Sciences, and B.S. in Psychology from James Madison University in Virginia. He has taught graduate and undergraduate level courses in Behavior Analysis, Psychology, and Statistics and Measurement and has conducted both basic and applied research. He has several years of experience providing applied behavior analysis services to individuals with a variety of developmental disabilities in home and clinic settings. Several of Philip’s main areas of interest are teaching functional communication skills to individuals with autism, behavioral interventions for addiction, and decision-making processes. Prior to joining FSBA, Philip established and developed new clinic sites in the state of Oregon as a Clinical Director for the Center for Autism and Related Disorders. He is currently Regional Director of Clinical Services for Tampa and Hillsborough County with Full Spectrum Behavior Analysis (FSBA). Throughout his graduate training, he has published a number of articles in peer-reviewed journals, and presented at state and national conferences.
Dr. Dolleen Keohane - BCBA-D
Dolleen earned her Ph.D. in Applied Behavior Analysis and Special Education from Columbia University Graduate School of Arts and Science, a M.Ed in Instructional Design and Applied Behavior Analysis, a M. A. in Applied Behavior Analysis and Special Education from Teachers College Columbia University and a M.A in English Literature from New York University. She has taught graduate level courses in Behavior Analysis and has conducted applied research. She has extensive experience in providing behavior analysis services in school settings for clients in early intervention, preschool, elementary and high school as well as in home and clinic settings for individuals with a variety of communication and developmental disabilities. Dolleen’s primary areas of interest are verbal behavior developmental capabilities and cusps for young children, children and youth with autism and related communication disorders and staff training using an organizational behavior management structure. She serves as a reviewer for The Behavior Development Bulletin and the Journal of Speech and Language Pathology: Applied Behavior Analysis, peer-reviewed journals dedicated to publishing research concerning development across the age span and language development. She has published a number of articles in peer-reviewed journals, co-authored several textbook chapters, and presented at state, national and international conferences.
